“NANKING” is Documentary or Propaganda? January 20, 2007

sundance.jpgFilm “Nanking” produced by Ted Laonsis will be screened on January 20 at Sundance Film Festival.  I hope that both judges of the Sundance Film Festival and media persons will have the following viewpoints to watch film “Nanking”.  Which is this film “Nanking”, Documentary film or Propaganda film?

For example,   I suppose…the scene that some camera.jpgJapanese soldiers testified as if Nanking Massacre took place actually will appear in film “Nanking”,  However,  please watch the scene with considering the following points,

Even if some Japanese soldiers testified the existence of Nanking Incident, most Japanese soldiers testified, “We did not know it at all.”   They cannot say, “Nanking Massacre did not take place at all.”  They cannot deny it.  Because they did not witness it japanese.jpgactually.  Therefore, They cannot admit Nanking Incident,  neither can they deny it. It would be strange if they deny Nanking Incident though they did not witness it.  They were only surprised to hear that “Nanking Massacre took place”.  Therefore,  nobody could deny Nanking Incident.  They are honest and have common sense.

Even if some Japanese soldiers testified the existence of Nanking Incident,  tedleonsis.jpghow many people do you think only some Japanese soldiers could kill?  100?, 10,000? 100,000?  No way!!  It is obvious that only some Japanese soldiers could not kill more than 10,000 people without atomic bombs.  It is obvious that only some Japanese soldiers could not hide more than 10,000 dead bodies without magic.  Why nobody took any photos of this killing field though more than 120 press persons were there?

The following link is good to refer for better understanding Chinese Lying by nature.

http://www.worldwideschool.org/library/books/lit/historical/ChineseSketches/chap27.html says;

The Chinese are a nation of liars. If innate ideas were possible, the idea of lying would form the foundation of the Chinese mind. They lie by instinct; at any rate, they lie from imitation, and improve their powers in this respect by the most assiduous practice. They seem to prefer lying to speaking the truth, even when there is no stake at issue; and as for shame at being found out, the very feeling is unfamiliar to them. The gravest and most serious works in Chinese literature abound in lies; their histories lie; and their scientific works lie. Nothing in China seems to have escaped this taint. …..

World has increasingly been aware of Chinese nature.

This is how Chinese fabricated Nanking Massacre.

If we have a look at Chinese at street, let’s tell them “Liars”.

お返事ありがとうございます。そうですね、私もレオンシスの南京映画には危機感を覚えていますので、チャンネル桜の南京の真実を資金支援しようと思っています。私は微々たるものですが、とにかくお互い少しでも頑張りましょう!

Reb Bean, wake up!! Or you just deliberately blind yourself. I feel deeply sorry for you, for all people like you. Why cannot Japan show the world some guts to fact the history? Do you know what integrity means? Do you think the Japanese dead in WWII will thank you for your lunatic “defense” for them? You’re goddamn wrong.

Facing tons of evidences, archives and records, how can you still lie about the atrocities Japan committed? Why cannot you learn something from Germany? At least, Germany has the bravery to admit what he has done. Without basic integrity and courage, how can Japan be respectable?

Speaking about nature, do you ever reflect on your own nature? You are really horrible.

Same to you.

For looooog time, we had to keepn low profile about Nanking incident because of enormous photos and witness.

Yes, it was enormous….. But all was proved as fake and fricated.

I know that you don’t want to change your history, but you have to admit fake is fake, and China must apology to Japan.

The Nanjing Massacre has been made-up? Big Deal! You guys forget about the Bombing of Pearl Harbor! This is yet another lie told by the Americans! Brave Japanese, such as Tamagawaboat, should have exposed it to the world! Red Bean must go further——just exposing the Chinese does not cut as a genuine American. Red Bean must be brave enough to tell the whole world that Americans had lied about the bombing of the Pearl Harbor. Japanese historians have already pointed it out that it is F.D.R. who had trapped Japanese into it. (the American historians have written on it as well.) Japanese are not only the victims suffering at the hands of the Chinese at World War II, but had endured far enough about American lies on the bombing of Pearl Harbor!

Small Deal! Not Bean but Bin.

To Ethan Jin:
Learn from Germany? Do you know what Germany claims? Certainly, they admit the political responsibility of the holocaust. But they claims that it’s by Nazis and not by Germany. And they deny their sins of Germany, protecting their pride. Right that it’s self-deceipt. You mean that we cansay that it was the sins only of our army? No way! We aren’t so shameless as Germany even if you recommend us to behave such. Or we don’t need to behave such since we didn’t commit Crimes Against Humanity like the holocaust. Isn’t it you that cannot face the truth?

To Larry Franklin:
Attack of Pearl Harbour is a problem of jus ad bellum and not of jus in bello. And it means that Pearl Harbour isn’t a war crime. First of all, we killed only few civillians on the attack becuase we targetted only military base. The number of civillian victims was about 50. But the most of them were related to the base.(So they were included military targets, too.) Don’t mix the different issues!

To both Ethan Jin and Larry Franlin:
Why don’t you see this uri before saying something?

At least, I want you to read
The Nanjing Incident Recent Research and Trends by David Askew.
http://www.japanesestudies.org.uk/articles/Askew.html
It looks an essay with peer review, of Middle Road School i.e. his position is that the range of victims were dozens of thousands. But you will understand our situation much better with reading it, although I don’t agree his opinion that Illusion School is dogmastic.
What do you call tons of evidences? You cannot observe the decrease of population of Nanking on “What War Means” by Timperley, listing the first class materials about the Fall of Nanking.
On my blog, I posted comments on Ted’s Take and on Docs That Inspire for backup.

Alot of you are fools. Of course the Rape of Nanking happened. Japan has admitted it you idiots. You guys can go ahead and deny it, its just like denying the Holocaust atrocity of Nazi Germany….which means you’re an tool for believing this is propoganda.

12. sjang - April 10, 2008

How can Japan still deny from their horrible deeds at Nanking! There are pictures, video clips, and China isn’t the only country that Japan tormented. Japan must stop denying their faults and start teaching their future generation the truth: Japan was wrong. This doesn’t make Japan a horrible country. It just means that Japan, during this time, have made horrible mistakes due to the ideologies and early educations that naturally led them to believe that Chinese could be treated that way. Apologize, Japan, and correct your textbooks and your ways of education. If Japan does this, there will be no more angry articles or comments from other countries.
